Beate's Story
I live on salt spring island and enjoy my surroundings.
The salt spring island conservancy is a great way to
connect to nature and see how we can adapt our home
and activities to lessen our impact on plant and wild-
life. It is right, to practice some kind of ethic!
I work with the old folks...not elderly. We are all
getting old...not older! Should perhaps be wiser.....
I am a hairdresser, and practicing artist. We could
all do more of that! Looking after the old folks
and learn from them. Do more creativity. People
rush everywhere..even here. I am off to duncan, naniamo
or victoria. Shopping and outdoor hikes. I have
travelled the world..there is more but, I feel it is so
beautiful here, why suffer fo...Expand for more
ol's gladly? I am not
suffering...I like to make life easier for others. How
about you? Especially those who .have family? What about
the widows, lost street kids....I know, to just have
peace of mind and know that the earth is not going
to hell in a hand-basket as we know it....are concerns.
Seems to be 'plenty' for everyone...some have more
than others and cannot even enjoy it. It is satisfying
or just 'right' to share. Practice what I preach?
Hmmmm...I too, am selfish yet, and only a human
and animal at that and make mistakes. Try not to
laugh when your cat or dog or chicken flubs up!
Apparently they have 'feeling' too! We are not the
'only' ones!
I like cycling, swimming, the arts and reading 'stuff'.
