Betty Grimes:  

Hi, I was known as Betty, in school. I enjoyed being in the chorus, and worked in the Music Office, with Mr. Kircher, all four years at PRHS. After high school, I joined the Air Force. While in basic training, I met my future husband. We dated long distance, since I was stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, and he was stationed at Blytheville AFB, Arkansas. We talked on the phone and writing to each other. We got married on my base, and then I transferred to his base. We were blessed with three children, and moved around from Arkansas, to Oklahoma, Texas, Germany, and Tennessee. My wonderful husband passed away on Jan.3, 2000. We had 32 1/2 yrs of marriage. I have one grandson, age 8 now, and in third grade. Two of my children live in Tennessee...girl, in Nashville, son, in Clarksville, and my youngest girl, moved to Oklahoma last year.
