Beatrice's Story
After graduation,attended Wash U. in St. Louis. Studied theatre and art history and loved it. Moved back to TN for one year while my dad waited for a heart transplant, which he got in 1993.
Went on to get Masters degree in theatre history at Indiana University, and from there went to study Hebrew in the WUJS program in Arad Israel (1996).
Came back to the states and got a great job as the Director of Cultural Arts at the Jewish Community Center in Kansas City. My program combined film, the...Expand for more
atre, dance, performing arts, and visual arts. In 2005, we opened a new 500 seat theatre.
After 10 years, I switched jobs and work for the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater KC. Love it! I help teach people to write grants and oversee the agencies grant making process.
I have been married to Steve since 2000, and we have 2 sons, Eric and Benjamin.
Sadly both my folks passed away this past spring. The family house in on the market and I am just not ready to go back home any time soon.
