You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary. - Winston Churchill I was half in love with her by the time we sat down. That's the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they're not much to look at, or even if they're sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can. -The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caufield". bring me to tears and I am grateful for it all. I have a beautiful daughter, currently in college, who amazes me, challenges me, and dances with me. After 25 years living in paradise, San Diego, I am back in the Valley. When I moved from here I swore it was forever, stupid me. It is small town and hot and I love it. I have held some interesting jobs and now I am a Miner, I work in the HR dept. at a gold mine east of Glamis. I watch the sun rise and set on the dunes each day on my commute. Sometimes I feel so close to heaven that I only need to reach out my window and my hand will pierce the veil. For those of you that know the Farris Girls, we are all doing well, we get together often. We all vacationed in Hawaii this year and then surprised Beva for her birthday. We flew to New Mexico and sang Happy Birthday, while she cried, of course. My sweet Daisy, miniature Daschund, passed away in August. Fortunately, I had recently rescued Scout, who seems to be the quietest Chihuahua I've ever met. Not a single bark when the trick-or-treaters knocked on my door. I missed a few monsters before I realized I had to quitely hang out in my living room. Sharing anything about myself in such a public way is very difficult for me to do. I have never been afraid of the technology, I am just, very private, perhaps even more than a little shy. Dolly, I told you I can do Anything I want to do. No fear.....well, some fear and lots of courage.".
