Becky's Story
Life
My first job was at Swiss Colony (when South Park Mall first opened), where I got paid minimum wage to cut the cheese (no - really - I did). What I remember most about it was a horny boss who couldn't keep his hands off all the young girls he hired. He eventually got fired and hopefully arrested.
After graduating in 1978,I worked a few different jobs. One of my favorites was running the office for a non-profit conservative political lobbying group. Mostly, I enjoyed the privilege of staying home and raising my children, until 2005, when I went to work for Weight Watchers, where I am currently employed - and absolutely love what I do. I went to work for them after having lost 70 pounds on their program. I began as a leader and then became the Territory Manager for the state of Louisiana in January 2007.
I married Doyce Randle in 1979. Doyce and I have three children, Cherise (27 years old, married to Brian and mother of Amanda), Chase (23)and our baby girl, Stormi (16 and attends Calvary Baptist). We have one grandbaby, Amanda (who will be four in March) and another on the way in February 2009. After living several years in other parts of the state, including Monroe and Baton Rouge, we moved back to Shreveport in 1991 and remain here - in Southern Hills. Most of our family lives in Shreveport, we will probably retire here.
I love a good cardio workout - and lifting weights. Great stress relievers! I also love kick boxing. In my more mellow moods, a good Suduko book is a good way to relax.

a lot to the Church, then spend the rest on debt elimination, new houses for us and one each for our children, a secure future for our parents and a comfortable retirement - including world travel for us.
My best friend would tell you I'm warm, loving, compassionate, fun to be with, non-judgmental, a great listener, a truly devoted friend, and a deep thinker, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet, a little stand offish, and maybe even a little dingy and absent minded. I despise cliques and caste systems - and will avoid such garbage at all costs. I have friends of all races, genders, socia-economic backgrounds and political beliefs.
In 10 years, I plan to be healthy, happy and still deeply in love. I'm going to get there by continuing on the course I presently follow.
I've learned from my children that much of life is absolutely not within my control and I must remain flexible and ready to forgive to remain of sound mind. I have learned that remaining tender hearted is a choice - or better said, a series of choices. It requires a more conscious effort than becoming angry and bitter. Bitter and angry people are old before their times. Love, compassion and forgiveness will keep us forever young.
The most important things in life to me are my relationship with God, my family, my friends and my health. The legacy I'd like to leave when I go is "She lived and loved with tremendous passion and enthusiasm - she made a dynamic, positive difference upon the lives she touched. Mostly, she loved."
