Michael's Story
Life
After surviving a firey inferno in 1974, I enlisted in the military and became a Fire Protection Specialist. In 1980, I married and fathered 2 boys. In 1986,I was awarded a bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Management. In 1987, was employed by TVA, a federal nuclear power plant. In 1998, divorced, retaining custody of my 2 sons. I'm presently employed with the DOD. I'm the proud father of the NW Florida's Track Athlete of the Year in 2000 and another son attends college majoring in criminal justice. I miss all my high school pals and would like to reconnect.

lthy man, I have the option to leave my passion (retire). I missed so much of my high school academic opportunities and I now regret that but I still made it! I've been truly blessed.
Military
I enlisted for the GI Bill, a fantastic educational opportunity. I was ironically selected for participation in the army's fire protection program. I spent several years in exotic lands and experienced many different cultures. I learned self dicipline and how to handle myself. I experience danger and learned to cope under stress. Listen, the military is for those who are strong mentally, not necessarily intellectually but decisive thinkers, those who can endure pain and severe discomfort. If you can't handle compliance or giving orders (leading), don't apply. Ironically the highest paying employers want the same kind of characteristics from it's employees. So, I always recommend to serve and reap the benefits. (I might just have x classmates who don't agree with my opinions but I really want to see them).
