Belinda's Story
Life
Oh gosh!!! Where do I begin? I have had a lot to go on in my life in the last 10 years, but right after high school, I got married and had two kids. My oldest child is 27 and disabled and my youngest child is 22 and is a transfer student at Greensboro College. I finally went to college and graduated with a double major in English and History from Winston Salem State University in 2005. I am currently working on my M.A.T., Masters in the Art of Teaching, at Salem College. I work as a Rehabilitation Technician at night and I am also an instructor for Forsyth Technical Community College at Goodwill Industri...Expand for more

College
I did not have the pleasure of enjoying dorm life or college cafeteria food. I do remember cram sessions and trying to get papers in on time. I remember getting up at 4 A.M. to type a paper, then getting kids off to school and off to my classes. I remember deciding to hold off graduation for a semeseter just two weeks from graduation because I found out that I only needed four classes to get a double major. I opted to stay the extra semester. I remember independent study classes and working my butt off just to get that work done while attending to other subjects.
