Belinda's Story
Life
My Spouse
Husband, Tim iwa a personnel officer with the ND Department of Transportation. He was active duty Air Force for 13 years and was called to active duty again with the ND Air Guard in Fargo, ND. He was in Fargo, ND from September 15, 2001 until March 31, 2002. His unit was supporting F-16's at Langely AFB, VA. Tim retired from the ND Air National Guard in November, 2004. We have been married for 32 years.
NOW, as of October, 2006, we live in Cheboygan, MI where Tim in the Director of Human Resources for the County of Cheboygan. We live in an old farmhouse 9 miles from town and are enjoying the heck out of being with family again! Almost all of Tim's 9 siblings and their families live in MI and we can visit any time we want! How wonderful! For those of you who don't know, he grew up in Flint, MI.
My Pets
We have a weiner dog named Rudy who is spoiled rotten and a Siamese cat named Cleaphus (don't ask). We also have a mini-dachshund named Danke who rules the roost.
My Kids
Kyle, 27 was at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND studying for an English and Mass Communications Degree. He graduated (FINALLY...Expand for more
) in August, 2004. Kyle has joined the Army Reserves and after graduation in April, he'll return to Fargo and his life with weekend guard duty. He's still very happy in Fargo.....no wife yet, but I can be patient!
Meg, 25 is an active duty Air Force member stationed at McGuire AFB, NJ. We were "babysitting" her wirehaired Fox Terrier, Donna, while she was in the Middle East for 7 months. She's back now and Donna will be going home soon. We'll miss her. Right now, "Donna" is our only grandbaby!
My Job
I was the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Treatment Department at the North Dakota State Penitentiary in Bismarck until December 2004.
Since moving to Cheboygan, I am not employed and that's quite all right with me! My whole "job" now is getting unpacked and the house put in some kind of order. Whew! Who knew how much stuff people can accumulate!
On a more personal note, both of my parents (Hank and Marge Rasmussen) passed away in 2004. Marge on March 3rd and Hank on May 8th. My sister Brenda (Loscalzo) died at the end of July, 2006 in a terrible car accident. She left a husband and two girls behind.
