Belinda's Story

Life I have been married to my husband Tom Howland for 34 years. My husband had been waiting to get a heart transplant since July of 2007. We were finally blessed with a 25 year old donor heart April 10th of 2008. His recovery is quite remarkable, he looks great and feels so much better. keep up with him! We have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. After working for Monsanto Company in Muscatine, nearly 34 years, I was able to retire in October of 2010. I am now working part time and love it. We still live in Muscatine.and spend a great deal of time anitiquing, traveling and gardening. We enjoy, most of all, spending time with our family.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognize. It was the Northpark Younkers notifying me that I won this fantastic gift basket valued at over $200.00 in the drawing I signed up in!!
Great afternoon spent at Boonies with these lovely ladies. Mary Thomas Judy Ward Haskins Kathy Henke and Judy Law. Too bad we all had to pay $5.00 parking tickets!
A wonderful turn out for the 2015 heart and lung transplant picnic. We have Hailey Steiner who was 17 when she got her heart, Angie Petrone who was 44 when she received her heart, Tom who was 54 and Lisa Reynolds who was 49

Had a hot dog roast tonight with all the trimmings for our Missouri kids. What a good time! I even found time to make apple crisp and pumpkin pie for dessert. Too yummy!
