Hello! After graduating from Oriskany, I earned a 2 year Liberal Arts degree from MVCC in Utica. I then finished my last 2 years at Utica College and graduated from there in 1977 with a B.A. degree in Journalism. I met my future husband on a blind date in March 1977 and decided to remain in the area despite a bleak job outlook. I had several great paying jobs with the state, county and city of Utica before I joined my husband in his business (which he started in June 1977). I have been with his business (wholesale distribution of supplies and equipment for sign making; screen printing; digital printing; sublimation printing and heat transfer applications) since Oct 1982. I am corporate secretary for the company and also started and maintain the mail marketing division doing such things as researching & writing product catalogs, brochures, etc./ press releases/ creating trade magazine ads, etc. In late 2004, we contracted with a company to help us develop a company website, complete with ordering capabilities for our customers. Quite a project that we took on. We finally launched our website on 8/24/05. It needs alot of things like product descriptions, photos and graphics added (which I am constantly doing - all by myself!) but at least we are out there for people to see us and buy from us. My husband Neil & I married on Nov. 3, 1979 and had our son, Jared, March 1985. He is now 29 years old. He graduated from Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) in May 2005 with a 2 year degree in Business Administration and his 4 year Bachelors degree in Dec. 2007 from SUNY IT in Marcy, NY. Jared worked part-time for 5 1/2 years at the Electronics Boutique store (now EB Games and recently bought out by Game Stop) at our local mall. In February 2007, he left Game Stop to work for Best Buy...first part-time and then full time hours a few months before his college graduation He is a natural born salesman like his dad! He also has worked for us part-time in the summers in our warehouse and helped us with "computer related" matters. In August 2008, Jared was hired at Northern Safety & Industrial (located in the Frankfort Business Park)for a Customer Service position.
