Jonia's Story
Life
I have to admit that I have a good life. I got married late, but we've now been married 12 years (as if 2004) and are very happy. We have a wonderful daughter (Elizabeth) who sings beautifully and sings solos whenever she can as well as participates in the Southern California Children's Chorus. She loves to read and at 9 years old is our pride and joy. My husband (Ben)is an attorney in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of USC, and went to law school at BYU.
Since high school I have had fun going to college, traveling with friends, getting married, writing music, singing in the Southern California Mormon Choir, being editor of the Fullerton College student magazine, writing for the Fullerton College paper, teaching music, ...Expand for more
leading the church choir, writing programs for church events and school events, being involved in politics, and doing some public speaking. It's been a good time.
Currently my family lives in Fullerton.
Workplace
I have had a lot of different work experiences. I spent three years as a writer for a PR company, I worked in clerical positions, and I was my husband's boss at a court transcription company. Currently, though, I am 99% wife and mother and work part-time as a pre-school music teacher and choir teacher grades 1-8 at my daughter's school. It's something I really enjoy as I get to write programs, write music, entertain, and sing. I take stuffed animals and toys to work and get to dance and play. What a tough life!
