Ben's Story
Life
Hmmm, well, who knows what to write... I'll just sum it up by saying, I have come to look at the world in a completely different light. Apparently, I'm NOT the center of the world. Hmmm, who knew... Anyway, I'm a pretty boring guy these days. I don't smoke anymore, quit drinking in October of 2004 and I am a permenantly disabled Navy veteran. You know what though? What seems repetitive and monotonous can also be familiar and comforting. Like everything else in the world, it's all in perception. I just try to see the good things about life, without being fixated on all the bad. Some days I'm more successful than others, but then, who isn't?
I've been blessed with a beautiful wife who loves me, two stepchildren and a son and daughter of my own. I am a published author of over 500 articles in newspapers and magazines around the world and my first book "The First Resort" was a bestseller in 2009. I graduated from Lock Haven University in 2001. While at Lock Haven, I also pledged Kappa Delta Rho fraternity and became a brother in 1998.
Workplace
I am considered 'Medically Retired' by the Department of Veterans Affairs and I'm a 100% disabled veteran
Military
I worked as a spook (CTT) in Naval Intelligence. I went to bootcamp in Orlando, Fl and did my electronic warfare training in Pensacola, Fl. From there, I shipped overseas to Fleet Air Reconnaissace Squadron Two or VQ-2, where I stayed for the rest of my enlistment. Beyond that, there's not much more I can say.
