To Live By: (from the book, Bristol Stories I, Ben Talley, author)
Live simply. Give hope and warmth as you go. Treat every soul as your own. Live humbly. Laugh a lot. Write and visit often. Treat both poor and rich the same - both need love. Fight ignorance not with darkness, but with light. Marvel at the stars. Play with children. Hold grudges against no one. Think deeply. Walk daily in the fields and woods. Stay learned and well-read. Above all, be compassionate and forgiving."
In high school and in his youth, Ben was a 5-time Tennessee state champion in golf. He received All-American honors for golf at Tennessee High School and later on, in college.
More about Ben:"I live to help children grow up and make the world a better place. Period. Some may think it a boring life, maybe even a bit shallow. But the children, in return (even as they've grown), have blessed and enriched me beyond all imagination. I joined Facebook mainly to stay in touch with the over 1,600 children I've taught - and their families.".
