Benny's Story

Life After high school I joined the Army and became a helicopter pilot. During my 20 years of service I was a UH-60 (Black Hawk) Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, and Standardization Pilot and earned a degree from Embry Riddle University in Professional Aeronautics. I retired from the military in 95 at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three. My family and I lived in Germany for 7 years during our time with the Army and we loved it there. S (Air Evac) for a hospital in Cape Girardeau Mo. I was the lead pilot for Air Evac until taking a position with the Tennesse Valley Authority(TVA) in 1999. I am now flying TVA's helicopters which consist of the Bell 407, Bell Long Ranger, Bell Jet Rangers, UH-1H Huey,and the Bell 212. The 212 (Two Twelve)is 15 passenger Helicopter. In July 0f 2005 I was promoted to the Chief Pilot position for Tennessee Valley Authority Helicopter Services. Pat(my wife) and I have been married for 26 years. We have 2 boys and a daughter. Thier names are Chris, Mike, and Tina.
