Met David Ray in NW Arkansas in 1988 while visiting both of our mom's for Thanksgiving. David and I both lived in L.A., so we returned to the West Coast and began dating exclusively (a new concept for me) and became engaged in July of 1989. Got married October of 1989 and moved to Bentonville, AR. Lauren Ray was born in 1991, and is now 17 years old. She reminds me so much of myself at 17 that it is scary. Our son, Skyler was born in 1993 and is now 15 and looks just like his Daddy. I am CEO for a group of banks surrounding Siloam Springs, Arkansas (where we live now). Very busy wit...Expand for more
h two teenagers, a job I love, and a wonderful husband. Mom and sister Kathy and brother Steve are deceased, and Dad moved to Siloam Springs in 2006. Janis lives in Bothell, Washington; Greg lives in Kingwood, Texas; Paul lives in Humboldt County, California. I stay in touch with three or four high school buddies, but would love to hear from everyone else!
Workplace
I somehow ended up in banking, after getting a degree from CSUN in Speech Communications/Public Relations. Spent my college years working at Pepsi-Cola West, but when I decided to move to Arkansas, I wanted to try something new. I work for the family that founded Wal*Mart, the Sam Walton family. They got into banking in 1961, and now own banks in AR, OK, MO and KS. I enjoy working for such innovative, generous and kind owners.
