Lisa's Story
Life
After graduation, I went to Stanford University, majored in history (Which was, I realized at graduation, highly unemployable!). I worked at the university for several years, then went to graduate school at Syracuse University and received my MA and PhD in Geography. On the downside: SNOW ...Expand for more
and more SNOW; on the upside: I met my husband John. I am now a professor at George Washington University in DC. I feel proud to have fulfilled my NERD potential from high school. John & I have two wonderful dogs. And, since we're both geographers, we do a lot of traveling for work and pleasure.
