I've been looking at the profiles here for a while wishing everyone would share more of what they've been doing; guess I better get out there my own self. After graduation I moved to Susanville for a few months before going into the USAF and spending a couple of years on the U.P. of Michigan. Got out of the military a little under my full hitch and found a summer job in '75 working for what was then the California Division of Forestry. Spent 10 summers working seasonally for CDF in Lassen and Modoc Counties before getting a permanent job with the now "Department" of Forestry in Riverside County in 1985. From there I worked for CDF in Butte County, a couple of assignments in Lassen and Shasta Counties and am now finishing up my career in Siskiyou County as their Administrative Division Chief; we are currently living in Mt. Shasta. In 1974 I met Cathy Berlin in Susanville (we are both U.S. Forest Service brats) and in 1980 we were married in Chico where we were living at the time; David Bahr was my best man; miss ya Dave, we need to talk more.
