IN A VERY SMALL TOWN IN CRISPIANO TARANTO ITALY I WAS BORN . I LIVED THERE TO THE AGE OF 9 YEARS OLD ...I REMEMBER LIFE THERE WAS VERY SLOW AND RELAXED ... THE TOWN OF CRISPIANO IS LOCATE SOUTH OF ITALY ... there was once a little girl with big dreams, huge eyes, and a worried mouth. she disliked herself so much that she feared that fairies did not like her. but she loved every blade of grass and flower on the land, and she believed that those who seek a treasure must never mention it. she had been born in a knot of bitter roots, in the flower of which she eventually discovered the world: mountains to climb, streets to run. she embraced the universe; everything was to be seen and experienced. but she feared the role the life gave to her, feared having to walk straight, with great effort, toward a faraway destination; feared weakness and love. but she persevered. and she overcame her fears. IN 1962 MY DAD LEFT THE ALL FAMILY ITALY ... MY DAD LEFT AT 5 AM IT WAS STILL DARK OUT SIDE ... I GOT SO DEPRESSED I COULDN`T SLEEP NIGHTS .. I ALWAYS WONDERING WHERE DID MY DADDY GO AND WHY DID HE LEFT ALL OF US BEHIND ...WHY HE DIDN T TAKE US WITH HIM ??? MANY TIMES I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP ... HE WENT TO THE NEW WORLD LIKE CRISTOFOLO COLOBIO ...MY DAD WAS BORN IN THE U.S.A. HIS PARENT LEFT THE U.S.A AND WENT BACK TO ITALY 1928 ... HE GOT MARRIED TO MY MOM HAD 6 CHILDERN ... MY DAD ' S DREAM WAS ALWAYS TO COME HOME TO HIS HOME LAND ...THE HE DREAM TO LIVE THERE ONE DAY ...HE LEFT ITALY IN 1962 FOR THE U.S.A. ALONE IN JUNE 5 ,1965 MY MOTHER MY TWO BROTHER AND I CAME TO THE U.S.A. MY FATHER LIVED All ALONE FOR 2 YEARS ...HE WAS SO GALD TO SEE ALL OF US HAS FAMILY TOGETHER AGAIN ... IT WAS VERY HARD FOR ME TO LEARN NEW THINGS ...I DIDN T KNOW A WORD IN ENGHISH ....I WAS PUT IN ( 4TH ) GRADE FROM THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL ...WHILE EVERY ONE WAS STUDYING AMERICAN HISTORY ...I WAS READING SEE SPOT RUN .... WHAT A CUTE BLACH AND WHITE DOG I THOUGHT !!! STAYING AFTER SCHOOL EVERY DAY AND LEARNED ENGISH ...IT WAS MUCH EASIER FOR TO LEARN THEN ... ALL MY HARD WORK I REACH THE LEVEL OF THE MY CLASS ... ever year the all family went to Italy for the all summer ...there was times i started school a week later ... it was very hard for me to catch up with my studies the i missed for the times the we were in Italy ... MY EVER CHANGING LIFE STYLE ... i lived in Conshohocken pa., i really did NOT like to live there ...but there were times the i enjoyed ...we had lots of diffrent kinds of small animals for pets from Conshohocken pa., my family moved to trooper pa.,... i attened Plymouth Jr., high school, Plymouth Whitemarsh Sr. high ,class of 1974 ...i won first price of a sewing contest in 1974 for PW...my picture was posted in the times heard news paper ... i enjoyed very much my high school years ... with my very good friends which i lost contact with ....hope to track them down now ... march 25 of 1984 i got married and sold everything we had i the u.s.a. , 6 months later my husband and i moved to Israel . to started a new life once again not knowing a word in hebrew and the hard culture shock me , after the first birth of child i always dreamed of comi...Expand for more
