Life
I am currently living in Gresham, Oregon. So far am loving the great Pacific Northwest. Still learning my way around and discovering lots of delightful things here. Came here to help care for my Mom whose health has been poor but is improving. I retired on October 1, 2005 and am enjoying every minute so far. I had spent 17 years with the Department of Corrections in CA and worked at 3 different prisons; Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy, Avenal State Prison, and CA Substance Abuse Treatment Facility/State Prison...Expand for more
in Corcorn. Changing to retiree has been a challenge but fun. I am widowed and have one daughter and two grandchildren. Stacey is currently an EMT at Foster Farms and EMT/Firefighter with the Delhi Rural Fire District and just turned 38. I was lucky enough to be in CA to help her celebrate her birthday. Drew is 18 and a college freshman and Sam is 15 and in the 10th grade. I may further my education as I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! I would love to hear from any of you Spartan alumni out there.
