Beth's Story
I graduated from Cranston East in 1985. I went on to take some College course's and from there I went on to move up in my Company to become The Treasurer & Certified Food Safety Manager .
In October of 2011, I will be married 18yrs.
I cannot have children, almost to the day of our 1st. Wedding Anniversary - I received the call; I Had Cancer.
I went through 8yrs. of very evasive and very uncomfortable procedure's that ended in me have a Complete Hystro.
Do to Cancer , I ended up with a Blood Clotting problem.
So sadly , I had to give up Biking, YES, those who knew me in Highschool and knew I Biked, I did continue to do so.
I live in Saunderstown, Rhode Island.
I have won a few Bike Race's , my Favorite was for Cancer, when I won a brand new mountain bike, I had to give them away , do to blood clotting problem too dangerous for me.
So it took me awhile to give them away , I loved them so much. So what I did was give them to ( 2 ) different people who were having a rough financial time, and let them have it for free to give to there children or grand-children, under the deal that , the...Expand for more
y do not tell the child that it is a gift from me, it is a gift from me to a friend and the Bike's were from Them to the Child. I did not want any of the credit. The bike's average cost was about $350.00 each, so they wanted to do something and all I said was do like the movie and " PAY IT FORWARD!! " AND MERRY X-MAS!
Right now I am working hard at my Meat Company , enjoying our Beach Club ( Bonnet Shore's, in Narragansett ) and my cat Irish.
We have had 2-different boat's , 1st. a Scarab ( Very Fast ) 2nd. a Sea Ray, But we really never had anytime for them and they really are like having a second home, but you only get to use it 5-month's out of the year if you are lucky.
I hope EVERYONE IN THE CLASS OF 85' IS DOING WELL! :) :)

PS,
By the way , I no longer have my big Cranston Hair, it is short and has some spike's , look's good, still blonde and help's being blue eyed . The Chemo . Thankfully did not take my hair on my head , did take my eyebrow's though.
( have no idea why!!)
