Beth's Story
Life
Well, time seems to fly when you are busy with a family. If you are reading this, then chances are you knew me when. The me of then is not much different than the me of now....I feel older and wiser, but I still like to kick back an enjoy moments as they happen. I still enjoy performing, and I work professionally in Portland as a singer/actress. The part of my life that I am most proud of today is my happy marriage and three kids, one of whom is graduates from highs school this spring 2007. The other two are just starting out in first and third grades....they keep me running 24/7!
School
I often feel like a lost soul when it comes to my school years. My parents separated and divorced in 1985, smack dab in the middle of my high school carreer. I found myself removed from my lifelong friends, as my mother moved me from my large high school in St. Louis to a small school on the west coast. I lost touch with most of you.
I have many great memories from MN, though....school plays, choir concerts, getting caught making out in the stairwell.....good times.
...Expand for more
I made friends in my small high school in Bandon, but my late arrival meant that many lifelong friendships were forged before mine. The result is that I never know which High School reunion I should attend because I feel I don't really fell as if belong in either!
My fondest memories from BHS include the football games, beach bonfires, and hanging out with Marishya.
College
I attended Oregon State from 88-93, and loved every minute of it. As a double major in music and theater, I found little time for a social life. Most of the time, I was singing at the Beanery with VanGo or performing somewhere on campus.
I remain astounded at the amount of talent that was honed during the 88-93 years in the OSU Theater Department.....From Emmy and Tony nominees, to Broadway and film: the successes our class has had professionally blows my mind, and I'm proud to have been there when.....
Musically...well, let's just say that I enjoyed the academic aspect of it.
I have lost touch with many of my friends from my college days, but I welcome hearing from you anytime....
