Beth's Story

Life Being born an Air Force brat was interesting, moving around a lot was not my cup of tea. I was born in upstate New York, and spent the first part of my life living up & down the east coast. My dad was stationed here in Colorado in the late 60's, he decided shortly after to retire here in Colorado. Colorado is Gods gift to nature. I can't tell you just how breathtaking it is here. I joined the Navy for four years, shortly after high school. I spent 2 glorious years in Rota Spain. Beautiful country, good food, awesome Sherry! I loved my time there! Then, I was transfered to Roosevelt Roads Puerto Rico. Let me tell you after 2yrs in, I wanted OUT! (lol). I had had enough of being told what to do, how to, and etc. Yes, the beaches were fabulous, and the Rain Forrest was awesome. The job and people however were not so great :o( Puerto Ricans like most inhabited bases, are not our fans. So needless to say was'nt the greatest experience of my life. When I got out, honorably :o)) I found that 4 of my friends had to enlisted, and I was the only one to make it. So pretty proud of that accomplishment. I have been married to the same gentleman for 24yrs now. No babies, :o( Not by choice, but ci...Expand for more
rcumstance. My baby is a Red Lored Amaon Parrot, named Cindy. We are still not sure if she/he is a Cindy... can't have everything ha. She turns 10 this year. She is a blast, and a blast she can deliver! I was'nt sure I would share this part of my life. But here goes. It was the beginning of 1980, still 19 years old, living in Spain at the time. My world was perfect up until then. I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression. It has pretty much been a difficult time functioning since. Then was re-diagnosed with a Panic disorder, along with anxiety, on top of being Bi-polar. I could'nt take the meds for the first 22 years and didnt fair so well. But, I am on meds now, that seem to be making progress, yippee skippee! If anyone comes across my story and would like to talk please don't hesitate to e! Thank you taking the time to read my bio. Hope it was'nt to boring. ;o) Gonna hush for now. Take care, Beth* School Hackberry Hill Elementry North Arvada Jr High Pomona High College College of Life!
