Bethanie's Story
I am happily married to David Rowland and raising three boys. I was fortunate, because I married my soul mate. We are living in Southern Edgecombe County, on my family farm. My oldest son, Josh, is a junior at SWE. Nickolas my middle son is at SEMS. D.J. the baby also attends SEMS.
In 2005, I found out that I had Hopkins Lymphoma Cancer. Lucky I have been in remission for over 2 years. This experience opened my eyes. God left me on this earth for a reason,...Expand for more
to help children with disabilities and teach children about him and Jesus (I teach Sunday School). Having cancer allowed me to see how much love, my husband had for me, and who my real family and friends were.
I am the At-Risk Case Manager for Edgecombe County Public Schools, teaching social skills and working with students with behavior issues. Now I do not let things get the best of me, because you never know when your last day on this earth will be.
