Betsy's Story
Life
I got married at age 23 to Lee Sawyer of Halsey, Oregon. At 26 I had a daughter, Alyce. Raised Appaloosa horses for about 10 years, moved to Salem, went to work for Prison System. Divorced and met current husband, Jim Weathers from Salem, Or. Got married, moved to W.Salem, raised reg. Paint horses and collected rescue dogs until 1999 when we finally made our "dream" happen and moved to East Texas. Bought 124 acres to raise our 52 horses on (which we brought with us and our 12 dogs). My daughter came with us and just got married. I work as an assistant warden's sec...Expand for more
retary in the prison system and love my job. My husband fell and broke his back badly while still in Oregon and is medically retired. I don't ride horses but raise gorgeous show prospects and finally had one become a reserve world champion this past year. I am a lover of animals and people. My belief is God gave you a life, do something with it and enjoy it...and be nice to each other.
My best friend was and still in Bonnie Haun (now Thompson). She doesn't have a computer but lives in Junction City. I hope all of my old classmates are well and happy. Thanks for reading me.
