Zilpha's Story
I worked for nearly 26 years as a journalist for The Tallahassee Democrat, the daily newspaper in Florida's capital city.
I worked in the features department and was the features editor for 15 years before being dumped during a corporation-wide 10-percent staff reduction....Expand for more
I learned a lot, became a darned good editor, had some moments of glory and came away with many exceptional friendships.
To tell the truth, I am delighted to be out of the newspaper business. I'll just say that I'm saddened by the decline of the newspaper biz in the U.S.
