Betty's Story
Life
I went to Brigham Young University after graduation in 1955, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education June of 1959. In July of that same year, I married Clark Harvey, from Blanding, UT. In 1961, after his graduation from BYU, we moved to Richland, WA--where he worked for 34 years as a nuclear chemist. I taught school in Orem, UT, 1956, and again in Richland, WA, in 1962. per, then in the Accounting Dept of the paper, ending in 1986. From there I worked at Registrar of The
Blue Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America (Oregon and Washington area) until retirement in 1997.
My husband and I are both retired now. In 2000 we bought a house in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, and now divide our year between here and Richland, WA. We enjoy our time in both places. We love spending time with our family, and enjoy church activity and friends at both our homes. Life has indeed been good to us.
