Betty's Story
Life
After Delsea, I attended Mt. Aloysius Jr. College and received an AS degree in Occupational Therapy. I worked in that field for 28 years. During that time I went back to college and got my BA in Education.
I married my best friend, Dave, who went to Clayton. He went to Delsea in 7th and 8th grade. We have one son, Jeff, who is now 24.
We left NJ in 1993 when Dave was transferred to a base in Rome,NY, and then we were transferred a year lat...Expand for more
er to Washington DC area. We came back to NJ 5 years ago to be closer to our families. Dave and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in Feb. 2006 and 2 weeks later Dave died suddenly in his sleep. Jeff and I are still in the area. I currently work for ARC of Gloucester as a group home assistant director. I found that I liked working in this field and plan to stay until I retire.
