My name WAS Betty Smith. I married Airman 1st Class Joe Danko in 1966. I guess you could say that getting married was my way of getting out of having to finish school. I hated school. Anyway, we moved to Toledo, Ohio, where he was from originally. In 1969 we had our 1st son. In 1974 we had our last son. In Feb. of 1988 we got divorced after 21 years of marriage. Again, not very smart, but, without a doubt, very loyal! I met & fell in love with my husband, Eddie Garcia, in 1989. We were married in Nov. of 2002, just 16 months after my youngest son was murdered during a Radio Shack robbery in Georgia that went horribly wrong. I think the only reason I finally broke down & married Eddie after being with him all those years, is because my son, Matthew, used to ask me every time we talked on the phone if Eddie & I were finally getting married. I'd tell him that you can't rush into marriage. I need to be sure this time! ;) Anyway, between Eddie & I, we have 15 grandchildren. My son, Joe Danko, in FL. gave us 2 grandsons & a granddaughter.
