Betty's Story
Who knows how anyone remembers me from HS -- sports for girls had just started (I was in both of them that were offered), band/jazz band was fun and I was loud, I loved being in the class plays, and I hung out with several different groups of classmates. I was a conglomerate.
Went to college and became a PE teacher/coach, played intercollegiate field hockey, went on to coach that sport at the university level and became a sports information director for women while there. Quit and moved to CA to...Expand for more
"find myself", got lost and came back to IL where I've been teaching and coaching every since. Was married for 23 years and had two wonderful girls, who are now all grown up. Divorced in '07 and moved back closer to home. Love reconnecting with old friends, checking out facebook, traveling, whitewater rafting, landscaping, remodeling, spending time with my daughters, quilting, and cooking. I am trying my darnedest not to grow old. Not sure how much success I'm having along those lines though.
