Betty's Story
Moving Forward...I moved farther north from Dallas to The Colony (Feb. 2007) after living in Carrollton, TX, for 33 of the past 38 years. I have two sons, both married, and two grandchildren. Life is constantly changing, but is always good. I did finally graduate from college a few years ago, but, for the most of my life I have been a mom and church worker. I still sing...in fact, more than ever. I've had the joy of singing "around the world" on various mission trips. God is good!
Life just changed again. I remarried April 22, 2008. I am now Betty Moore (Mrs. Henry Moore. - Does anybody know how I can change my name on Classmates. I would love to correct that!) I now have 6 step-children and 16 new grandchildren. Also, I became an instant great-grandmother of 14. That is what I get for marrying an "older" man!

: Henry and I recently welcomed another great-grandchild born May 20th...an adorable boy whose Daddy is in Iraq on his 3rd tour. Please pray for Aaron's safe return at the end of 2009. Another "grand" is due in August to my son and his wife who live in El Paso. They already have a 7-year old daughter and are expecting another girl.
We plan to go gold prospecting and rock hunting in various parts of the country this year...just to prove we aren't too old, yet...!
Another Update: In May of 2011 we added another grandchild on my side (four for me now) and another great-grandchild for Henry, making 18!! This Moore family is very prolific. Literally, my cup does run over...!
My mom passed away the end of May, 2011...that leaves a void but I am grateful to know she is pain-free and forever gloriously joyful. Again, God is good!!
