Betty (Buell)'s Story
Hi! I'm Betty Buell Kohlman, graduate of Schurz H.S. 1954. I attended Mich. State Univ. where I met my late husband, and I graduated
with a teaching degree. I taught in Chicago and Des Plaines for over 30 years. I retired in 1994. I have one
daughter who is also a teacher, and 2 beautiful granddaughters, ages 18 & 15.. the older one will be attending Hillsdale College in Mich. beginning in Aug. 2020. My son in-law is a police officer. My husband died of lung cancer...a smoker...in 2001. I...Expand for more
live in a Chicago suburb, I keep in touch with 25 gal classmates, plus 5 couples that have worked on h.s. reunions with me. The gals meet for lunch bi-monthly, and the couples meet for dinner occasionally. If you'd care to join either group, please let me know. Hope to hear from you. I'm also in touch with 5 gals who graduated from Sayre with me in Jan. '51. 2 live in Colo., and 3 live here. I have written 2 small children's books that are available on Amazon.com.
