Betty Harris:  

Betty is from Lexa, Arkansas. Her schools include North Chicago Community High School. She was a member and captain of the varsity cheerleaders: Hawk Power (Forever), National Honor Society, National Merit Scholar Honorable mention, French Club, student council, Senior Day Director of Urban Renewal City of North chicago '69, and Future Teachers of America Club. She later attended Northern Illinois University and graduated from National–Louis University with a degree in Business and later received her Masters Degree in business. She is currently planning to complete a second master in Christian Education and leadership to fulfill her dream of teaching teachers to teach to the "whole child". She works(ed) for Fortune 500 Company in Training, and now for Self: U-Food-Good--4-U & ARRO>>>American Reading Revolution Now. Currently, she is completing her first children's book about her cousin,Kidney transplant specialist, Samuel L. Kountz. Betty was married to her high school classmate, Jim Harris. She has two wonderful adult sons and two adoreable & OUTSTANDING young grandsons! Betty's interests include How to Read a Book, Reading, London, Chicago Bulls, tasty-healthy cooking, and enriching the lives of underserved youths.
