Beverly's Story
School
I was raised in "The Valley"(san fernando valley in LA) and attended Emilita Street School, VanAlden Elementary, Sequoia Jr. High, Reseda High (to grade 11) then HIJACKED to Eagle Point High School in Eagle Point Oregon. You can ONLY imagine the HORROR of this "Val" (but in those ancient times we were either surfers or greasers...i being the former) being thrusted from Reseda with 2000 hip happening students to Eagle Point High's 250.....rancher school. Talk about culture shock! No longer was i riding the waves...i was riding a tractor...
I still haven't forgiven my parents...but some things will never be forgiven LOL....Yet, when i look back, i still miss Reseda High and my friends there..Eagle Point was truely a culture shock and experience...I survived and even learned to milk a cow (gasp) If you remember me..write to me....
College
I graduated from a college in...Expand for more
southern Oregon and and have a degree in nursing. i have "extended" my degree with certifications in rehab and life care planning.
Workplace
When I graduated from High School, I went to university and received my nursing degree. I DETEST hospitals so my work journey has taken me to varied practice settings.
Today I work with attorneys, insurance companies, etc and am a Life Care Planner and Medicare Set Aside Allocation Specialist.....fancy names for a person that can tell you to the last Q tip what it takes to take care of you in case of a cataastrophic injury. I factor not only the medical care but the hard dollars in care.
The job is extremely strenuous...i have to furl my brow several times a day, try to think, and the hardest part (or most physically challenging), i have to make my fingers type and work with my brain at the same time....AHHHH all in a days work.....
