Beverly's Story
I married my High School sweet heart, Tim Fish, even though he attended Verdugo High we were 17 when we met and we got married June 5th, 1976. We have celebrated this month our 35th wedding anniversary! We have 3 sons and 1 daughter.Ryan, 32, who is married to a beautiful wife, no children yet. David, 28, and Jonathan 26. Just last year we were blessed to adopt a gorgeous 14 year old girl who is from Russia.Tim and I are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and have served many years in the church. We were youth pastors for 10 years while our son's were teens. I enjoyed being a stay at home Mom raising my children and Home schooling three of them. I worked for a while being a Doula, which is a person who goes and helps a Mom with her new born baby. Helping them to bond and teaching her to care for her baby or babies. I really enjoyed it and was starting my own Doula business when my Mom started having dementia at about 85 and needed some care. I have been helping my parents for over six years now and my mother just died at 91. My Father is 94 and they had celebrated 70 years of marriage last March...Expand for more
before my mother became ill and died. I feel so blessed to have been given such amazing parents who set such an awesome example for my sister and brother and I of walking with the Lord as Christians, and being faithful to each other in marriage , as well as being incredible parents and grandparents. I hope that I can follow in their shoes! I am really looking forward to being a grandma some day hopefully not to far in the future. That will be so fulfilling to me, because I love children! I am looking forward to doing some more traveling too. I went with a singing group in college to tour Europe for a month. My husband and I have been to Tahiti, Israel twice, Columbia in South America, and Canada. We love Hawaii and have been there several times. I would love to see Alaska and go back again to Europe. I guess in the end, it is all about your faith, family and friends, and how well you loved them. Jesus said, the two greatest commandments are to Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. If I can accomplish that in my life then I will feel satisfied!
