We have 2 wonderful children ~ Rich & Angie and 5 beautiful grandkids ~ Haley, Jamison, Sabastian, Desirae & Caden.
Enjoying life!! Over the years...I have camped in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming in the snow, lived in Northern Minnesota in the Winter with air temps of -60°.....Brrrr, now that was what I call cold!!!. I have fished in Lake of the Woods, Lake Kabetogama and caught a 23½" Walleye out of Rainy Lake in Canada and watched Moose swim the Rainy River. I have snorkeled to see the coral in the Caribbean and strolled the white sands along it's shore and saw The Mayan Ruins in Chichen Itza. I've seen to the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate, Alcatraz (from afar), drove thru a Redwood and gotten my toes wet in Wisconsin Dells. I been to the Badlands, saw the Corn Palaces and ate at Wall Drug and Sturgis in the Winter. I had a big hand in rebuilding a '67 Mustang from the front end of one and the back of another, I put hydraulic lifters in a couple of Harley Davidson Shovelheads. boat, how to fillet a fish and love fishing. I gun hunted in Buffalo County and now know how to bone out a deer in my sleep. It may not seem like much, but I have enjoyed it all. Sometimes the simple things are the best. It just don't get no better than that!!
I enjoy fishing (open water fishing in the summer & ice fishing in the winter!), getting my hands dirty in my flowerbeds and veggie/fruit gardens (all organic of course), then seeing the end product of my hard work and dedication. I enjoy camping, the company family & friends, reconnecting with long lost friends from yesteryear and meeting new friends.
I used to say "I'll do windows, I don't do cows and no nursing for me!" Well, I do wash windows, I have milked cows (175 head at a time), and I am currently in the nursing field. Needless to say, I no longer say "I don't do...." and look forward to new challenges & adventures.
The past 15 years have been very rewarding working as a PCW at Garlick's CBRF and I plan on leaving no time soon. (so much for retiring... lol) I assist people in learn skills to enhance their everyday living, improve self-esteem, conquer their weaknesses and accept/cope with the things that they cannot change so that they may be as independent as possible and enjoy their lives to the fullest with a sense of self worth. Love my job!!
