Beverly's Story

Coming soon, our 40Th Reunion . . . AN EVENING IN THE PARK! Hope you can join us! Won't it be great to gather and reconnect? I'm so looking forward to seeing you there! So, break open those Piggy Banks, and get your money in NOW! Life: I lost my soul-mate, Greg Arrowsmith in December 2002. We were married one month short of thirty-three years. We have two terrific children: Michele (38 years-old) and Greg, Jr. (37 years-old). They are both happily married. Michele and her wonderful husband, Johnny, have an adorable daughter, Brianne (born: 07/14/08). My first grandchild! School: Crushes? I always had a thing for Davie Soden - - and his tall blond side kick. Can't recall his name - - but, he was very cute! I don't think even my best friend, Sally Root, knew that. Theatre teacher John R. Albert probably had the most impact on me. I always have LOVED the Theatre. In fact, I went on and received two degrees in it. And I still teach theatre classes at Saddleback College (Mission Viejo) and act professionally (check me out on those late-night commercials. Big WOW!) Weldon Moody taught me discipline - - not always using a good technique. And Segates helped develop my love for Visual Art. What would we do without the Arts? Memories? I loved it when Jim M. trashed our Jr. float by driving it into the basketball hoop! Sorry, Jim! Overall, the time at PHS was pretty turbulent. Some of my memories are somewhat sad. We suffered growing pains as a nation and it reflected in the atmosphere at our school. I am very empathetic and took it all on - - so much so, I found a need to graduate early - - to escape from ...Expand for more
the pain. My friends at Pomona High: I miss my very first friend, Ginger Rhode. We met the first day of Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary School. I think about her often and still love her to bits! Also, Janis Miller comes to mind. We were two friends that found each other in rough times at Montview. Thank you, Janis! And then, of course, there is Sally. What can I say? My dearest friend, a true sister; I will always love you! I have been so very fortunate to reconnect with you - - and now, I will never let you go! And I have always wondered what happened to Mimi Dogget? We were kindred spirits - - both having a love for Art. I have lived in Laguna Beach and always hope that I might see her work hanging in a gallery. Where are you Mimi? One last note:it has always haunted me how Mr. Herrington (6th grade/Montview School) used Rickie Seim as a scapegoat to teach us about the Legal System. Does anyone else remember this? Anyway, I hope it didn't have any lasting negative repercussions. THAT was so wrong of Herrington! Sorry, Rickie! Overall, thank all of you for the great times and wonderful memories! College: I graduated from CSUF, with a "BA" in Theatre Arts, in '88. I received my "MA" in Theatre Arts from CSUF in '92. Workplace: I teach Theatre Courses, part-time, at RCC, Norco Campus and Saddleback College. The rest of the time, I act professionally in Infomercials, "B" Commercials and whatever I can land. My passion is writing - - plays, screenplays, and novels. My BIG claim to fame: Oliver Stone read one of my screenplays. THAT and a dollar will buy you nothing! HA! Peace, Love, and Great Health!
