Beverly's Story
Since I graduated, I did training to be a Histologic Tech. in the lab. at the Lutheran Hospital in F.W. and passed my registry. I did work there from 1954 to 1962 when I married a Concordia Senior College student. I then worked in St. Louis, Mo.
two different times while my husband finished Concordia Luth. Sem. there in 1965. I had moved to Aurora, Il. for the year he interned and had our first daughter there.
After his graduation, we moved to Id. for 18 months and then moved to Albany, Or. for 13 years. I had two more girls and worked after the youngest one went to school until we moved to Fresno, Ca. and worked there over five years. at Fresno County Hospital.
We had all high school and college graduations from Fresno State plus all three weddings there.
We now have six granddaughters and two grandsons in our family.
After Fresno, we moved to Manteca, Ca. for our next ten years while I worked in Stockton and later moved there. I worked in Conc...Expand for more
ord, Ca. for over three years and then retired. My husband retired from full time ministry.
My husband still preachers now and then and we both love being retired.
While he plays golf (I play once every two weeks with him), I usually swim at a club to work out.
We still live in Stockton, Ca. and both enjoy our daughters and their families whenever we can. Two live 2 1/2 hours away and one lives 4 hours away.
We have done a lot of traveling around since my husband spent 30 years in the Navy Reserve along with always having a church to serve.
We both love cruising and traveling in the car. whenever we can.
Gardening and garage saling are favorite outlets for me and do both as much as I can and like.
We watch a lot of movies since the last two years have been full of dr. appt.s
We attend Zion Lutheran Church here in Stockton and I now love to sit with my husband on Sunday mornings.
