Evelyn's Story
I graduated from East Union in 1971. I lived in Lathrop, California where my father pastored a church for a few years. I met my husband when my father had his father come for a revival to our church. My family left Lathrop and moved to Southern California where my father pastored another church in San Bernadino. My husband and I were married in that church in Nov. 1972. We then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. We moved to California again to be near my family, and in 1974 we had a set of twin girls.My husband and I started traveling again in 1977. n 1981. We traveled again for many years, our baby girl never lived in a house, she always lived in a motor home. They are all now grown and have children of thier own, and now my husband and I go alone when we travel. We have lived in Oklahoma now for 30 years. Update 8/17/15 . As of January 9th we became great grand parents. She is a darling. All 7 of our grand children are amazing, My husband had a heart attack in 2008 and in 2010 a stroke, so it has slowed us down. He and I tell each other " Just a couple of old married people" It has been a great journey and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Life is Great and God is Good!
