Bill's Story
After leaveing High school in 1964, I joined the Navy, did many tours in Viet Nam, not all on ship, two tours were in country and one 24 month tour was in Helo's as crew chief and second door gunner for Naval Special Forces. I was one of the last of the Combat troops to leave Viet Nam in 1972.
Completed my Navy career in 1993 28.8 years later, worked on education my last year and continues until graduation as a civilian working fully time as a government contractor. 2 year completed as a contractor I was offered a position as GS-11/-12 worked two and half ye...Expand for more
ars, promoted to GS-13 where I will retire at. I currently write Naval Aviation Maintenance Policy for both Navy and Marine Corps. <Now, if you knew me in high school that would be the farthest thing that you would think I would be doing> SMILE!
I'm currently living in Tucson, where I retired from the NAVY a total of 46 years
I still drive Corvette and have two, recent retored 1968, big block 427c.i. & 502 ponies, tri-power with all the toys. A stylish 2009 Silver Convertible 480 ponies push her around. Slowed down a lot, too many tickets while young.
