Bill's Story
Life
After graduating from NA in 1961, I attended what was then Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University). I spent five years there in the school of music, earning a BFA in music education and a BFA in music performance.
Following graduation I entered the Gettysburg Theological Seminary, where I spent four years, earning a Master of Divinity degree.
I was then ordained in the Lutheran Church and have served four parishes in the last 34 years in the following locations:
Jeannette, PA
Vandergrift, PA
Carmichaels & Masontown, PA

I have been at my present church for 15 years and my wife, Joy, and I are very happy being back in the near North Hills area. Coming here was like "coming home."
We have three children, two girls and a boy. The oldest, Gretchen, is a chiropractor in Philadelphia. The second, Kimberly, is a guidance counselor at a charter school in Youngstown, OH. And our third, Nathan, is presently living in Brooklyn, NY. He is a musician like his father, having several church choirs and being the Artistic Director of the theatre company he founded, The Actors Company of Princeton, NJ.
