Bill's Story
Life
After leaving high school before graduation, I joined the Navy and stayed there for 31 years. I retired in July of 1989 at Camp Pendleton, CA. My wife and I moved to Glenwood, Minnesota where I was employed by Northern States Power at the Nuclear Generating Site in Monticello, Minnesota.
Two years later I was offered at chance from the VA to attend college. I attended the University of Minnesota from 1994 to 1998 graduating with degrees in Political Science and Sociology and minored in History. My wife Karen passed away in June of 1995 so my final three years of school I was alone.

big year for us, in June of 1998 I graduated from college, Martha retired after 30 years in the classrom, and in August we were married.
In late 1998 I was hired by the Veterans Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota as the research coordinator for the Gulf War Illness study. I stayed with that job until completion, then decided it was time to retire. Martha and I live on Lake Minnewaska during the Spring and Fall and spend our Winters at our Mesa, Arizona home.
Martha had no children and I have two children, my daughter Traci who is married and has 2 children and lives in Greenwood, Indiana and son Christian who is in the Navy and on the Aircraft Carrier USS Ronald Reagan.
Martha and I still are involved in community theater both in Minnesota and in Arizona.
