Bill's Story
Hello Classmates,
I graduated from the University of Florida, and in addition to my BAE degree, I earned a Masters degree in Education. I served on the Pinellas County Park Board for 5 years.
I taught at NEHI for a couple of years before working for Allstate as a Supervisor in the Florida Regional Office.
I also spent 10 years with the Crown Automobile Dealerships as a salesman, sales manager, and leasing department manager.
After leaving Crown, I worked in Real Estate until 1987.
I recently retired from Admiral Farragut Academy after 24 years during which time I taught 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th grades in Social Studies. I coached the AFA Middle School and Varsity Soccer Teams; was the Head of Middle School; the Business Manager; and Director of Alumni.
Our son, Bill graduated from AFA in 1991; from college at FIU in 1994; and is the International Director of Business for his corporation in Tulsa, OK...Expand for more
, and as such has become a world traveler. Last week he was in Santiago, Chile when the 8.8 scale Earthquake struck. He survived, thank God, and should be home by March 6th or 7th.
My daughter, Jennifer is an attorney for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
My other daughter, Mary is a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology for the City of Miami.
Our adopted son, John is in the Claims Dept. of the Progressive Ins. Co. My wife, Nina is a Real Estate attorney. We have six grandchildren.
Jennifer has one child whom she adopted from China. She is soon to be four years old.
Mary has two children, a son 8, and a daughter 7.
John has three children. One daughter 8, and two adopted children ages 8 and 9.
Bill is not married yet, but is planning to make the big step next year.
I would enjoy a lunch get-together with any of my classmates. It would be fun.
Hope to hear from you!
VTY,
Bill
