Bill's Story
I have two sons and have been married to their mother for the past 44 years - or so. I also have the most beautiful, intelligent three granddaughters God has ever blessed anyone with. There names are Hailey and Reece by my oldest son - Jason and Little Emma Frost Myers by my youngest son - Billy. Kathy and I love having the grandchildren spend the night on occasional Fridays and/or Saturdays whereupon I get to whip up some delicious blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
God has been good to me and I am very grateful. I still have a strong belief in God as I should have been dead many, many times and would be without His intervention.
My normal attire is blue Jeans, slip-on earth shoes and a shirt. Rarely do I wear a suit unless I'm going out to dinner. The people I hang with are varied, eclectic and similar in real tastes.
I am a staunch Republican and resent government wanting to take more of my money and squander it after I worked hard to make it. Yes, I'm part of the 20% of tax payers who pay 85% of the total income taxes. You probably are too.
I have now officially moved into semi-retirement mode. I've not completely retired yet but, I have recently hung my shingle as a consultant and have clients which pay monthly retainers to guarantee them a number of hours per month of my undivided attention via telephone, letter, email or other means of communication of the their choice. consultant, I can travel, fly fish in the back country and enjoy myself while still maintaining some modicum of attachment to the business community via mobile satellite, Wi-Fi hot spots, and stationary internet connections.
I am one of the less than 4% of people who waited until I reached the ripe old age of 70 before applying for Social Security. Applying for Medicare at 65 saved my wife and I about $36,000.00 a year for health insurance and waiting from 66 to 70 increased my social security monthly stipend by 32% over the amount that would have been paid at 66.
Anyway, all is well with me and I hope all of you whom I have fond memories of from West High are as happy, well and prosperous as God has allowed me.
As a more recent addition to this bio, I have just bought a new GMC Denali Pickup truck.
Four wheel drive for the back country and back country fly fishing. I'll be decking it out between now and October when I finally pull the pin on this working stuff. Well, not entirely. I'll keep consulting and writing. Who knows, I may start a whole new career. I'm actually dumb enough to enjoy working. And I'm crazy enough to love writing. Do what you love.
Oh, I just heard some great news: With Liberty insurance, you only pay for what you need. Is that cool or what?
