Bill's Story
My story by Bill Peacher:
I grew up in Chula Vista. Went to Lillian J Rice School until fifth grade then I went to Hazel Goes Cook for fifth (Mrs Likens was one of my favorite teachers)and sixth grade. Went to Hilltop Jr High...my best class..biology. Mr Fleming was the best teacher I had...biology was my calling. Went to San Diego State and Majoring in Microbiology...I enjoyed Micro,parasitology, etc. Worked at Childrens Hosp of Los Angeles after training there in the lab. Worked in Research for a Div of Baxter Int'l then did clinical studies..comparing new lab methods for clinical labs..putting new products on the market. Worked at Beckman Instruments in Fullerton, CA...technical marketing..went into medical sales in the Bay area for five years with Beckman Instruments. Worked in Sales and Marketing since 1978...many companies...Bayer, Abbott Labs..my most recent employer for over 19 years...just started a new company..President and CEO of Peach Labs Consulting Inc. Married since 1970. Two boys: my older son is an Senior Geologist and graduated from Sonoma State and he lives in Aliso Viejo. My younger son graduated from NAU in Flagsta...Expand for more
ff and he also has a certificate in web design from UCSD. He works as a web designer at Surfer, Snowboarder, Powder, Kayaking and Canoeing, etc Magazine. He also has his own company and he designs websites and his background is graphics and he is an artist and photographer (lives in Cardiff). We live in Laguna Niguel (since 1984). Enjoy the beach, tennis, golf, mountain biking, hiking, walking on the beach, kayaking, gym and mountains, being outdoors as well as travel...work in my yard alot...big yard and I have a gardener who helps too...I lost my good friend Bill Piety in October of 2010. Bill and I were good buddies since we were 10 years old. Bill was a geologist and active in mountaineering having climbed all (100 of them) peaks over 12,000 ft in Colorado. Bill and I and his buddies spent a week in SE Utah dirt biking (in May 2010) and exploring the desert..Arches National Park, Canyonlands, San Rafael Swell and the areas around Green River Utah. Bill and I explored Zion, Yosemite in high school, Colorado near Grand Junction down to Moab. I drove Bill to his brother Bob's two weeks before he passed away from Bile Duct Cancer. Bill was one of the best people in my life and he is truly missed. God be with you Bill!
