More about Bill:"love motocross". baseball, just finished placing 4th in points in the ama southern california mx championship (would have done better but had to miss 3 races) also 4th in the socal otmx summer night series went to big bear this last weekend, first time since i was 10 almost 50 years. fishing wasn't very good but the weather was great. went to an oktoberfest sat night had a blast had some great beer and boy there were alot of drunk people but they were having fun. have 2 big races coming up this weekend and the following weekend (2 day races) then another 1 day in anza at cahuilla creek down past where that Teri Lindow girl lives well not a bad year racing although i missed some races i still finished 3rd overall 58+ intermediate in the overthehillgang nationals, and 3rd overall in the 50+ intermediates in the old timers internationals which is my last year in the 50 year old class, 60's here i come. going for the championships in 2014, going to lay waste on those boys. going riding at cahuilla creek in anza sat should be fun. well i did win the championship as i intended now i'm going to try and repeat this year. having alot of fun just raced in fernley nevada where i finished 3rd. next race is in may in montana looking forward to it. well on may 3rd i broke my leg and tore a ligament but i'm on my way to recovery get the cast off june 12th but i won't start riding until august then start racing in september. recovery from rotator cuff surgery is going slow but steady. should be back on the bike by late spring, . then get a new bike in september. well on my way to recovery for left shoulder surgery should be back on the bike in Febuary then racing in late march or early april. looking forward to the reunion next august.well 2017 went well i won the 60 masters championship in the AMA Socal summer series hoping 2018 does also, planning a lot of racing going after a couple of more championships and looking forward to several fishing trips in the sierras. didn't win the ama championship in 2018 had to miss 1 race so it took me out of the running but i still finished 2nd. planning a trip to the sierras soon do some fishing and hiking. ...Expand for more
going to Virginia City labor day weekend to enjoy the civil war times and visit some ghost friends. Let's see i haven't updated since 2018 so things are going good. I won the 65 class championship in the over the hill gang club in 2019 had 1 hard crash still feeling it. Had a great time in Mammoth in September also did some traveling driving in the country side down south in Riverside/ San Bernardino areas, went to Big Bear a couple of times. did some fishing at Lake Hemet i really like it up there. Funny how all i thought about was surfing now i hardly go to the beach but i love going to the mountains. Didn't get to do much like everyone else in 2020 because of Covid, Did do some racing and fishing. Fishing was horrible in the sierras with the smoke from the fires and everything shut down in the Mammoth area. The hatcheries had to destroy 3.1 million fish from a virus/ bacteria. Didn't do the Grinch at Christmas Covid stuff. I'm hoping 2021 will be better. Saw the ortho doctor yesterday she said my back is completely healed, i'm really happy not having any pain. She also said i can start riding. Went to South Dakota end of July early August what a 2 week adventure. Idaho was beautiful, Wyoming land as far as you can see but South Dakota was fantastic. Stayed in Deadwood 2 days, what a great place funny thing is Wild Bill Hickock was only there for 20 days before Jack McCaul shot him and he's such a huge part of the history. Stayed in Rapid City 2 days insanely hot and humid, Went to Mount Rushmore {off the bucket list} then went to Crazy Horse which when it's done is going to be glorious, then made the drive to Custer Park. Saw the buffalo, deer, antelope, burros, and of course more prairie dogs then you can imagine. Then went to Hot Springs for 2 days and still hot a lot of pool time. Went to see the Mammoth site where they uncovered fossils of Mammoth and other critters. Went to a school that was built in 1893 now a museum. Then we left driving through South Dakota, Wyoming and into Colorado where we stayed the night. Next day we drove to New Mexico where we stayed in a casino parking lot {it was free} next morning left for Prescott Arizona stayed at Gwen's for 2 days. Had a great bbq Cheryl Edmonds [Neal} and her husband came over also. Went site seeing in Prescott area, old downtown, lakes it was nice. Next day left for home, it was a great trip. Then in late September early October went to Mammoth Lakes for 13 days. Went to Virginia City for a day because the fish were not biting. Great weather until the last 2 days lots of smoke. Still have plans to go to Santas Village, The Tram in Palm Springs, and Catalina.
