Bill's Story
Hello Class of 1965,
There were two Bill Smiths in our class. I am the one with a twin sister, Cindy. I still get to PH frequently since my mother still lives there. I went to college at MSU and then to Wayne State for my master's degree (library science).
My teaching career as a library/media specialist was mostly in the suburban Lansing area (Okemos Public Schools) and I retired in the Spring of 2006 after 36 years.
My wife Michelle died in 2000 of cancer after having battled MS for 15 years. I mentioned that I was...Expand for more
a twin. Twins skipped my generation but my daughter Rebecca has three-year-old fraternal twin daughters (born on Christmas day) who are the light of my life. One of them looks very much like Michelle.
My passion is cycling and I have done quite a lot in my retirement. I just got back from Northern Florida and am going to the Texas Hill country in March for Texas Hell week, an eight day event centered around Fredricksberg.
I would like to hear from anybody who was in any of my classes or who I hung around with.
Bill
