Bill's Story
After graduation I worked a few odd
jobs. Inlisted in the navy, was lucky
enough to get in to the Seabees.
Received a lot of naval schooling the
first year plus military training at camp Le june NC. Did two tours of
vietnam with Naval mobile construction battalion 58 (NMCB 58). I was a steelworker and sheetmetal worker in B-company.
After my discharge from the navy in Aug
of 68 ( oh by the way, I inlisted in the navy for four years, but since I had two tours in vietnam I didn't have much time left in the navy so I got an early out.) I started school again at what was known then as St. Paul Vocational Institute. Took the sheetmetal construction class along with some others...Expand for more
.
Worked in the trade as a sheetmetal draftsman first on the drawing board for about 18 years, then switch over to drawing on the computer until I retired in Nov of 07 at 60.
Got married in Jan 1970, have two beautiful daughters and seven beautiful grandchildren, four girls and three boys.
In june of 08 Nancy and I bought a house in Corpus Chrsti TX. Thats where we are living now. An area called Flour Bluff, right on the intercostal waters just over the bridge from Padre Island. We're still trying to sell our house in Minn if anybody is interested.
I would sure like to here from anyone
who remembers me.
Retired and healthy
having fun in the sun
