Life After graduating from Monroe in '72, I went to a broadcasting school in Hollywood for three years. Getting a first time gig in LA was out of the question then, so off I went into the world. My first job in the wonderful world of radio and TV was in Wayne, Nebraska at radio station KTCH as a DJ. I knew from school that I'd have a longer career behind the scenes rather in front of the mike, so I only spent the summer of '75 there, opting to go to a TV station in Boise, Idaho that fall. I stayed in Boise for five years, starting as as studio cameraman. (Camera "person" as they want to say today.) when I left I was still at the same place but now as the Daytime Production Manager. In between I had a blast, learning how to ski there and making some lifelong friends. Many co-workers that used to work for me at that TV station are still working there. It's interesting to look down the road not taken...or in my case...taken away, since I got canned! (Long story best left for a long e-mail or a phone call). I wound up back in LA, and thought I would only be there a couple of years to build up the resume.
