Bill's Story
I went on to the University of Northern Colorado where I graduated in 1974. I married Nancy Dodge of Thornton, Colorado in 1974. That same year we moved to Los Angeles, where I studied at the University of Southern California for my MA and PhD in Drama. I was hired as a professor of Theatre at the University of Montana and later was hired as Professor of Theatre at Sweet Briar College in Virginia, where I still work, having been there now for 32 years.. d Philip, born in Missoula, Montana. Nancy is a school librarian at Elon Elementary School in Madison Heights, Virginia; Geoff is Executive Director of the Academy Center for the Arts in Lynchburg, Virginia; and Philip is the chorus teacher at both Nelson County High School and Middle School in Nelson County, Virginia. We have three grandchildren,, Theo, son of Geoff and Ashley Kershner); and Harrison and Violet, son and daughter of Philip and Lauren Kershner. I remember my years at AHS fondly, and look forward to reconnecting at the 50th reunion.
