Bill's Story
A month after finishing high school, I got a job at Linden Warehouse as a warehouseman, working the 3:30-12:00 shift. Was making some good money, but then got sidelined by a hernia after 5 months. The recession of '73 hit, I was laid off, and never went back. Went to Middlesex County College for 2 years, studying Environmental Science, then got a job at American Cyanamid in Bound Brook as an Environmental Technician, and later worked as a Lab Technician in their Urethane & Elastomers and Polymer Products departments. Worked a total of 11 years there before they closed the facility. I am currently in my 20th year at BASF Corporation, where I am working as an R&D Technician at their Iselin, NJ site.

joy home brewing beer, and did so for 20 years before I finally got tired of it. Besides, there's so much junk in my cellar that I no longer have any room to do anything! So now I've taken up pistol and rifle shooting at a range in South River, where I practice with a former co-worker of mine. I'm no bull's-eye shooter, but at least I'm on the paper. Well, most of the time anyway. Hitting a small paper target at 25 yards with a pistol was a lot harder than I thought. That's why I mostly prefer the rifle....much more accurate and a lot less frustrating!
I don't spend much time watching television, but when I do, my favorite shows are Ice Road Truckers, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and Investigation Discovery.
